- Put the battery back in the smoke detector, ensuring the polarity is correct
- Select
- Congratulations, you have added a smoke detector to the HomeWizard link.
Mesh netwerk
After connecting the Mesh smoke detector. This smoke detector becomes a group of other smoke detectors and CO detectors. The big advantage of linking one or more Mesh detectors is that when a cality happens. The fact that the affected smoke detector makes sound, that all coupled mesh devices will also make sound. The following Mesh devices then form part of this group;
Mesh Smoke detector
- Smartwares Mesh Smokedetector SH8-90103
Mesh CO detector
- Smartwares CO detector
Reset a Mesh Smoke detector
Follow this procedure if you wish to reset ( unpair) a mesh smoke detector. Or paring on the HomeWizard link not works

For placing on the ceiling; When placed on the ceiling, fix the sensor in the middle of the room, at least 50 cm from the wall. For placing on the wall; Make sure the distance between the detector and the ceiling is between 30 cm and 50 cm.
Turn the smoke detector (left) from the mounting base. |
Hold the mounting base at the desired spot on the ceiling/wall and mark the position of the screw holes with a pen. |
Use the supplied plugs and screws to attach the mounting bracket on the marked spot. |
Turn the smoke detector (clockwise) into the mounting base until it clicks. Attention: If the battery is not correctly in place the smoke detector will not engage. The smoke detector is now ready for use! |
Test the smoke alarm
After installation and at least once per quarter, test all of your alarms to ensure they are operating correctly and are within range of each other. The link will keep you informed when this has to happen.
It is recommended to check visually every week if the LED flashes correctly (every 48 seconds).
Procedure
Press the test button on any alarm for at least 1 seconds. This will send out a test signal from the alarm; all other connected alarms should receive the signal within a short time.
NOTE
The test signal will send a reduced RF signal in order to make sure it will work in normal conditions. You will see in the HomeWizard link app if the test was successful.
Battery life
The smoke detector has a battery life of ± 3 years. When the battery is nearing its end of life, a short beep will sound out every 50 seconds for 30 days. The alarm effected by the low battery will only beep, no other connected alarms will sound. It is safe to change batteries in the alarms with outgoing through the learn process again. They will not forget the connection during the battery change process.
